Osteopathy uses ‘hands-on’ techniques to influence the way the body works by manipulating the muscles, tendons, joints, connective tissue and ligaments.
The Osteopath will use a process of detailed case history taking, careful observation and examination and highly developed skills of palpation (feeling) to find areas of stress, strain or weakness in the body. After making a diagnosis they will treat specific areas relating to the problem. The techniques employed are safe and gentle.
